This polished fire agate mineral specimen measures 33 x 28 x 3–4 mm and weighs 20.5 carats (4.1 grams). It features a multi-colored bytrodial bubble formation displaying hues of bronze, orange, gold, and green, which are best appreciated under strong lighting. In dimmer light, the stone appears more brownish. The base is uneven, and two minor natural stress fractures are visible upon close inspection (see image of the underside). Given its thin profile and these fractures, this piece is offered as a display specimen rather than a gemstone, with pricing reflecting this status.

The vibrant colors seen in fire agates result from the Schiller effect, similar to that in mother-of-pearl and opals. This phenomenon occurs due to alternating layers of silica and iron oxide that diffract light, producing the interference colors known as fire. To fully appreciate this play of color, strong lighting is essential, as the gems tend to appear darker and more brownish under low-light conditions.
