This natural fire agate rough mineral specimen weighs 142.3 grams and measures 3 x 2.25 x 1.25 inches. It illustrates the formation process where silica and iron oxide rich hot water gradually fills cracks in the host rock, creating the distinctive botryoidal texture of fire agate. The specimen features a chalcedony and quartz seam nestled within rhyolite. At the core of this mineralized seam lies a natural fire agate gemstone exhibiting green, gold, and orange hues, approximately 10 x 6 mm in size.

This specimen remains completely natural, exactly as it was extracted from the mine, with only a gentle cleaning using a toothbrush. Although the gemstone could be polished for enhanced display (as demonstrated in the 'wet' photos simulating a polish), it has been left untouched for collectors who value unmodified specimens. Photographs were captured outdoors in sunlight, both wet and dry, and indoors under controlled lighting to present the piece's true visual qualities.
